Naperville Ribfest's Second Stage Ribber Row Touts Blues, Rock, Latin, Country, and Beatles Tribute

Naperville Ribfest highlights a variety of music on the second stage – Ribber Row – with Latin, Rock & Roll, New Orleans Blues and Beatles music as BBQ flows.

NAPERVILLE, IL, USA, June 18, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The second stage of Ribfest – Ribber Row – brings a variety of national music acts from jazz to blues to Latin to 60’s rock and roll during four days in July. Each day brings the opportunity to hear first class music from the 50’s with Million Dollar Quartet, to BritBeat’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles arrival in the US, to the best of Blues from Louisiana and the Latin Rock Beat of Del Castillo.

BritBeat, the premier Beatles tribute band that looks, sounds and captures the Fab 4 as they recreate the 1964 Liverpool lads visit to America all the way through Sergeant Pepper caps July 3rd’s opening day of Ribfest on the second stage. Earlier in the day, No Love for Linus, a popular opening act for bands, such as Sister Hazel, Lifehouse, and Barenaked Ladies helps set the stage for the day.

The 4th of July celebration ends with the best fireworks in the western suburbs and is preceded by the Million Dollar Quartet. Chicago’s hit Rock n’ Roll Musical features music by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. The day of Rock and Roll and Blues opens with Arbor Creek, a Chicago indie rock n’ roll group, followed by music from alligatorbreath, Black Cat Bone, and Hardened Bunker Rock and Soul Review to finish up the afternoon. Toronzo Cannon, a Chicago blues musician with his own sound, sets the mood for the evening celebration as an opening act for the Million Dollar Quartet.

Saturday on the Ribber Row stage is a day of Latin music that culminates with Del Castillo, the award-winning Austin Texas musical group that fuses rock, Latin, blues, and world music. The day will start off with Rio Bamba, a group that blends Bossa Nova, Samba, American and Latin Jazz. The afternoon continues with Viaje, a local Latin band that fuses tropical genres with a rock edge and La Obra, a Latin style group. Leading up to Del Castillo will be Contrabanda, one of Chicago's hottest Latin ensembles.

The final day of Ribfest, July 6th, will end with the Blues Guitarist that Eric Clapton calls "the most underestimated musician on the planet and the very best slide guitarist Sonny Landreth". The day starts off with Chicago rock group Phosphene, followed by southern rock band The Righteous Hillbillies. Early afternoon opens with Mr. Blotto, a blend of southern rock, folk music, and country rock. The Dirty Dozen Brass band, whose brass band style incorporates funk and bebop into the traditional New Orleans jazz style, sets the stage for their Louisiana brother Sonny Landreth.
