Boaters from Florida and across the U.S. love to travel to the Bahamas for its world-class big game fishing, beautiful dive sites and pristine anchorages. To better serve these navigators, Jeppesen continues to enhance and improve its C-MAP 4D, MAX and NT+ cartography for this popular region, which it will highlight at the 2013 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Among these latest Bahamas enhancements is the addition of three new C-MAP 4D charts developed using trusted Wavey Line chart data B222 covering Schooner Bay on Grand Abaco Island, B241 covering Sandy Cay off the Northwest tip of Grand Bahama Island, and B240 covering Samana Cay, north of Acklins Island. Jeppesen also updated 11 C-MAP 4D charts for the region, providing boaters with the latest, most accurate chart detail.

Other recent enhancements and additions to Jeppesens chart coverage for the Bahamas include:

• Updated Sportfishing Value Added Data (VAD), providing new information on reefs, wrecks and prime fishing locations, intelligence on available gamefish species, Fish ID photos and more.
• New dive sites for the Turks and Caicos Islands developed using detailed Wavey Line information. These are provided as Offshore Recreation Area (ORA) points in MAX, and as Sportfishing Value Added Data (VAD) in 4D. In both formats, Jeppesen provides dive site location with detailed information on the size, depth and specific diving recommendations for the area.
• Recently converted Bahamas fishing hot spots into new ORA points with color images of gamefish, fishing intelligence and detailed fishing and spearfishing regulations.
• Expanded MAX and NT+ chart coverage based on popular Bahamas Explorer Chartbook data to include detailed cartography and information for the Turks Caicos Islands.
