10/11/2013 (press release: media1press)

His Majesty King Mohammed VI presided Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Royal Palace of Rabat, the naming ceremony of the new government.

This event marks once again the exception of Morocco and its democratic model, under the leadership of His Majesty the King. The Kingdom continues, with confidence , towards the consolidation of its democratic institutions, far from the turbulence that continues to shake the countries of the region.

Throughout the process leading to the inauguration of the new government, all political parties played constructive role, despite their differences, with transparency and constitutional and democratic principles.

Since the beginning of the process, His Majesty The King has been a keen listener and has reacted promptly to events as they happened in order to guarantee continuity and smooth functioning of government institutions.

Immediately after the Istiqlal party declared it would withdraw from government, HM the King called on Hamid Chabat, it’s Secretary General to inquire about the reasons of withdrawal. Then the King immediately asked the Prime Minister to form a new government in order to keep all government functions operating for the service of the people.
