Club for Growth Asks McConnell To Sign Letter Promising Not To Fund ObamaCare

Club for Growth President Chris Chocola: “If Senator McConnell is committed to defunding ObamaCare, then he should sign the Lee letter and promise not to support a continuing resolution or any budget that funds ObamaCare.”
Washington, DC – The Club for Growth issued the following statement calling on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to sign a letter circulated by Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) promising not to fund ObamaCare through any budget or the continuing resolution in September:
“If Senator McConnell is committed to defunding ObamaCare, then he should sign the Lee letter and promise not to support a continuing resolution or any budget that funds ObamaCare,” said Club for Growth President Chris Chocola. “We are disappointed by rumors that Senate Republican leadership is pressuring Senators not to sign Lee’s letter or to remove their names – they should instead encourage others to sign on.”
“The 15 Senators who have signed Senator Lee’s letter are fighting to protect millions of Americans from the travesty that is ObamaCare. Senate Republicans should unite behind their efforts,” added Chocola.
