Rep. Palazzo to speak at ABA space law conference
WASHINGTON, D.C., May 31, 2013 — Rep. Steven Palazzo, R-Miss., will provide an update on space policy legislation to be considered this Congress at the American Bar Association Forum on Air and Space Law’s conference on June 6 at Jones Day in Washington, D.C.
Palazzo, chairman of the House Subcommittee on Space, will speak at 8:30 a.m.
Program highlights include:
“Recent Developments in Space Law, Challenges, Changes or the Same Old Thing?” — This panel will give an overview of the recent developments in space law at the state, federal and international levels. 9 – 10:15 a.m.
“Managing Space Launch Risks” — Panelists will examine the relationship between industry and government in the management of space launch risks. 10:15 – 11:30 a.m.
“International Telecommunication Controls: Space Traffic Management” — Panelists will discuss the wireless communications issues surrounding commercial space launch activities. 3:30 – 4:45 p.m.
