EA Joins Over 200 Companies to Oppose DOMA
EA has once again expressed opposition to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) by joining today with over 200 other U.S. companies in signing an amicus brief advising the Supreme Court of the impact of DOMA on the American employer.
The group of 278 amici that have joined represent a broad and diverse group of companies in a variety of industries. The goal of the amicus brief is to ensure that the federal government will not hinder an employee from treating married employees the same to create the most productive workplace environment possible. More details can be found at http://www.hrc.org/nomexposed.
EA recently joined an HRC business coalition to support DOMA repeal, and has also been recognized as a Best Place to Work by the HRC as well. EA will also join with the HRC and the Ford Foundation in New York next week to host a half-day of open dialogue to discuss LGBT issues in videogames. Stay tuned here to the blog for more details on that event to come.
