Kiki Bird Jewelry Part of Official Celebrity Gift Lounge in Honor of The 46th Annual CMA Awards
/EINPresswire.com/ Kiki Bird Jewelry will be showcased on display at The Artisan Group's exhibit, and will be gifted to the biggest names in Country Music backstage at the CMA Awards. This event will also be attended by over 25 media and press outlets.
Kiki Bird Jewelry (http://www.KikiBirdJewelry.com), in association with The Artisan Group, will participate in the official celebrity gift lounge in honor of The 46th Annual CMA Awards on October 29 - November 1, 2012 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Kim Girouard, owner/designer at Kiki Bird Jewelry, is a huge country music fan. When she learned from California-based The Artisan Group, a sponsor at the official celebrity gift lounge for the 46th Annual CMA Awards, that she would have the chance to showcase her handcrafted brass jewelry backstage she put her creative energies into making the dream a reality.
The result was a stunning statement necklace Girouard calls "Bright Lights" for the gift bags, and a display piece composed of two smaller necklace pendants that Girouard has named "Pillars of Strength" and "Bridges. All pieces are handcrafted in Vintaj Natural Brass, which is Girouard's signature metal.
"This is an amazing opportunity and I pushed myself to create designs I felt would be worthy of a superstar," recalled Girouard.
In designing Bright Lights, Girouard thought deeply about the meaning country music holds for her. "What sticks out in my mind is the sense of continuity, connection and community that is clear when you listen to the music, read the history and visit iconic venues like The Grand Ole Opry," she said. "Bright Lights symbolizes the past, the present and the future of country music. The large brass circles stand for the solid foundation that is country music's past. The smaller circles signify current, established musicians. The Swarovski Crystals represent the up-and-coming and future stars of country music."
Once the CMA Awards Board approved the Bright Lights necklace, Girouard created 85 handcrafted pieces just like it for the gift bags, along with the two display piece pendant necklaces.
It has been a busy few months for the busy Girouard, who as a one woman shop handles all aspects of Kiki Bird Jewelry, from designing and creating her jewelry to shipping and website maintenance. In September, Girouard carefully packaged the pieces and shipped them to The Artisan Group in California, who then delivered them to Nashville in early October.
For the moment, the Rockton, Illinois jewelry designer is breathing easy. "This project was a gigantic effort but well worth it," commented Girouard. "I'm honored to take part and excited about the exposure for Kiki Bird Jewelry. I can't wait to see my pieces showcased at The Awards."
Kiki Bird Jewelry has previously gifted her jewelry designs to Jordin Sparks, Mariska Hartigay and Vanessa Lachey. Recently she sent her "Liar, Liar" and "Rustic Moon" mixed metal necklaces to the stylists for the popular television shows Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries and is waiting to find out if they will be worn on upcoming episodes.
