Colin Aliff Returns to Georgia; Named Medical Director at Washington County Regional Medical Center
/EINPresswire.com/ After graduating from medical school in Georgia and completing his residency in Tennessee, Colin Aliff has returned to Georgia and established himself as a successful physician.
Originally from Georgia, Colin Aliff attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated in 1997, and he then moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he completed his residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Colin Aliff describes how he was saddened upon leaving Georgia to do his residency, but he enjoyed working in a new area.
"My three years at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine were integral to my current success as a physician. While I was there, I was pushed very hard, and it helped me to become a critical thinker and an incredibly hard worker," notes Colin Aliff. Once he finished his residency in Tennessee, Colin Aliff was eager to return to Georgia.
Initially when Colin Aliff was back in Georgia, he took a job as an investigator with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. While he worked there, he served as a certified law enforcement officer. A couple of years later, Colin Aliff took a job as an attending physician in the emergency department at the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, and he worked there from 2005 to 2012.
Recently, Colin Aliff took an appointment as a medical director for the emergency department at the Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville, Georgia. At the same time, Aliff became the medical director of the Washington County Georgia EMS. He still looks back fondly at his years as an emergency physician.
"Even the work was incredibly challenging and sometimes emotionally difficult to see people in so much pain, it was wonderful to be able to help people on their journey to recovery following traumatic accidents," says Colin Aliff.
"Although I began with an interest in family medicine," says Colin Aliff, "I have found my niche as a physician working in the emergency services department." Along the way, Colin Aliff has maintained his professional networks as both a member and Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine since 2001.
Colin Aliff's longstanding success as an attending physician in the emergency department has helped him establish a name for himself in the medical community in the Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area. Although he misses the days when he interacted with many patients, Colin Aliff enjoys his new job as a medical director and has been learning a great deal by working with the regional medical center's administrative groups.
