Capitol Hell is a witty novel about the crazy co-workers, high maintenance politicians, and the over-the-top entourages that can only a political insider gets to see.
Capitol Hell is officially released today and the authors are hitting their own political campaign trail complete with bumper stickers, campaign materials, and tours to promote this one of a kind novel. They will campaign across America bringing laughter and a taste of humor from Capitol Hill.
On September 14, the authors will bring "Capitol Hell" to Capitol Hill with an appearance and book signing at the Barnes & Noble at Union Station in Washington, DC.
Jones and Long met while working on the Coleman for Senate campaign and became fast friends after working for Senator Coleman in both his Saint Paul, MN and Washington, DC offices. They survived their time on the Hill by sharing the insanity of their DC experiences with other Capitol Hill staffers, who shared similar stories, and have now woven those "real-life" misadventures into the story of Allison Amundson and Janet Johannson.
Bridget Siegel a fundraiser for the Kerry/Edwards presidential campaign and author of Domestic Affairs: A Campaign Novel, states, "Capitol Hell is full of funny and insightful glimpses into life on the Hill and the campaign trail."
Karith Foster, a comedian, author and speaker, states, "Capitol Hell is a thoroughly entertaining look at the absurd real behind the scenes of politics. If the Devil Wears Prada was set in DC and at a Senators Office- this would be that story."
Capitol Hell will be kicked off with tours in Minnesota, Washington DC, South Dakota, and New York City. Authorig Politics can be reached at (715) 520-7661.
