Alpern Rosenthal Donates Non-Perishable Food Items to Military Connections
/EINPresswire.com/ As part of Alpern Rosenthal's Charity of the Month Campaign for July, the Firm donated five boxes of non-perishable food and snack items to Military Connections, a non-profit organization that provides care packages, equipment and various supplies to soldiers.
Throughout the month of July, staff collected non-perishable food and snack items such as: granola bars, powdered Gatorade, fruit snacks, crackers and soup with pop-top lids. These food items will be assembled into care packages, and shipped to soldiers and marines that are stationed overseas.
The Charity of the Month campaign began in January, 2011 as part of the firm's 50th anniversary celebration. It quickly became popular with both Alpern Rosenthal employees and local not-for-profit organizations, so much so that the program has now entered its second year.
About Military Connections: Military Connections has been shipping equipment, care packages and supplies to military personnel stationed overseas since July, 2003. The non-profit began when a deployed soldier's family member realized that military personnel are required to purchase their own supplies and equipment.
