SimULife Launches Activity Book To Help Children Identify Predatory Behavior
The activity book, I.D. The Wolf... We Have Your Back!, empowers children and provides tools to Identify, Avoid, Communicate and Report (IACR) bad behavior that people exhibit, which could lead to inappropriate physical interactions.

The Wolf… We Have Your Back! available that will immerse children in "real-life" scenarios to help them identify, avoid and report dangerous people and dangerous situations. The activity book was created to raise awareness and help parents and children identify techniques used by people with bad intentions ("Wolves") who attempt to get a child (and in many situations parent and child) to trust them. The activity book is created for elementary and middle school children (age 7+) and is aimed to help them successfully navigate through potentially dangerous situations they encounter in their daily lives. Partnerships with local law enforcement and youth-centric agencies are a critical component to help prevent such child related crimes.
"For many years, we have focused on teaching our youth to be aware of strangers. While we believe it is important to continue making youth aware of the potential dangers posed by strangers; based on some of the cases we see, we believe it is just as or more important to teach youth about the potential dangers that exist with people whom they are familiar. The statistics are alarming; over 90% of child sexual assaults victims know their attacker. The activity book emphasizes some important prevention concepts that parents and their children should understand," said Craig Watkins, Dallas County District Attorney.
"The Workbooks and Program are unique and compelling. Children of all ages will benefit from the Life Skills and Safety Awareness training. This teaching tool will prevent crime and protect children. It is a one-of-a-kind program that will save lives," said Katherine Cabaniss, former prosecutor.
The activity book empowers children and provides tools to Identify, Avoid, Communicate and Report (IACR) bad behavior that people exhibit, which could lead to inappropriate physical interactions. During a focus group at a national youth-centric agency this summer, the findings revealed that children are generally informed about the potential dangers from strangers, but are extremely vulnerable to the dangers that other people can pose in their lives. The activity book engages children on this sensitive topic through a combination of music, cartoon characters, comic like scenarios, and parent/child activity based learning.
