Mercy Jets Announces Construction Of New Handicap Access Ramps

Medical transport company to build ramps that allow for a smoother flight for patients, family.

/EINPresswire.com/ Phoenix, AZ - Mercy Jets, a leading medical transport company, has announced its plans to add custom designed handicap ramps allowing wheelchair-bound passengers to board aircrafts independently. This is the latest convenience the company offers to its clients who need medical assistance.

"Our patient's health and welfare always comes first, and this will make their flights that much easier," said John Bohn, president of Mercy Jets. "This new ramp gives patients and loved ones a little more freedom as they fly, helps them avoid any hassles they may endure while aboard a crowded commercial flight, and allows a wheelchair user to retain their independence and dignity when traveling."

The custom-designed handicap ramp allows for a wheelchair or power scooter user to pull up beside the seat they will ride in during the transport, and slide directly into that seat. The ramps are then "rolled up" and stored in the baggage area of the aircraft. By calling and booking, persons receive a personal flight without the issue of waiting in line at an airport.
