American Lung Association Names Jonathan K. Rosen to National Board of Directors

Washington, D.C. (July 2, 2012) —

The American Lung Association has named longtime American Lung Association volunteer and Wilton, Conn., resident Jonathan K. Rosen to its National Board of Directors. In this role, he will help lead the Lung Association’s work to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
“Jon Rosen has been a member of the Lung Association family for many years,” said Ross P. Lanzafame, Chair of the Board of the American Lung Association. “His leadership and expertise will be a great asset to our National Board of Directors and our missions to improve lung health and prevent lung disease.”
Rosen is president of Impact Communications, a Wilton-based presentation and media training practice serving executives from the business, nonprofit and public sectors. He first became a volunteer leader of the American Lung Association 30 years ago in Hudson Valley, N.Y., where he served as president of the Board for four terms. He subsequently served on the Board of the American Lung Association in New York, where he continues to volunteer.
Rosen was a charter member of the Lung Association’s national Marketing Communications Task Force and has played a leading role in marketing, media relations, fundraising and finance at the national and local levels. He recently served on the Lung Association’s Nationwide Assembly, and he was appointed vice chair of the newly formed American Lung Association of the Northeast, which serves a seven state region from New York to Maine.
Prior to founding Impact Communications, Rosen was an award-winning television news journalist at WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, WABC-TV in New York and “Good Morning America.” He is an honors graduate of New York University.
