MPD Arrests Suspect in Multiple Brookland Burglaries

 

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a man in multiple burglaries and thefts from residences in the Brookland area.

Between the dates of June 2, 2024, and June 30, 2024, multiple victims at three Northeast residential buildings reported their property being stolen. The suspect would unlawfully enter the properties, by force in some cases, and take property from lobbies or package rooms.

On Monday, July 1, 2024, as a result of the detective’s investigation, 61-year-old Ronald McFadden of Northeast, was arrested and charged in the following offenses:

  • June 2, 2024, Burglary 2nd Degree in the 700 block of Monroe Street, Northeast, CCN 24084845
  • June 17, 2024, Burglary 2nd Degree in the 700 block of Monroe Street, Northeast, CCN 24092711
  • June 18, 2024, Theft 2nd Degree in the 2900 block of 12th Street, Northeast on CCN 24096190
  • June 21, 2024, Burglary 2nd Degree in the 700 block of Monroe Street, Northeast, CCN 24094399
  • June 25, 2024, Theft 2nd Degree in the 700 block of Monroe Street, Northeast, CCN 24097586
  • June 26, 2024, Burglary 2nd Degree in the 700 block of Monroe Street, Northeast, CCN 24097334
  • June 30, 2024, Burglary 2nd Degree in the 700 block of Monroe Street, Northeast, CCN 24100543
