Description

The purpose of this program is to assist in addressing the opioid overdose crisis in Tribal communities by increasing access to FDA-approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (MOUD), and supporting the continuum of prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery support services for opioid use disorder (OUD) and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Eligibility

Eligibility is limited to federally recognized American Indian or Alaska Native Tribe or tribal organizations. Tribes and tribal organizations may apply individually, as a consortium, or in partnership with an Urban Indian Organization.

Funding Mechanism: Grant

Anticipated Total Available Funding: Up to $63,000,000

Anticipated Number of Awards: Up to 130 awards

Anticipated Award Amount: See Appendix A and Appendix B for distribution

Length of Project: Up to 5 years

Cost Sharing/Match Required?: No

Annual continuation awards will depend on the availability of funds, progress in meeting project goals and objectives, timely submission of required data and reports, and compliance with all terms and conditions of award.
