ALIPAC Endorses Congressmen Ted Poe and John Carter of Texas

August 30, 2010 -- Americans for Legal Immigration PAC announced two new endorsements today, throwing the groups support behind Texas lawmakers John Carter and Ted Poe in response to Carter's recent statements calling on Congress to stop President Obama's unconstitutional and authoritarian Amnesty decree for illegal immigrants.

"Congressman Ted Poe is a true leader in the fight for immigration enforcement and secure borders and our endorsement for his campaign is long overdue," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "Congressman John Carter's call for Congress to unify in September to block Obama's 'royal amnesty decree' is the kind of leadership in DC Americans are looking for!"

Congressman Carter issued his call for Congressional action via a news release put out by Targeted News Service on August 27, 2010, titled "Congress Must Halt Unconstitutional Amnesty for Illegal Aliens" which is now on display on the ALIPAC homepage at www.ALIPAC.us

President Barack Obama has recently violated both the spirit and the letter of existing Federal laws, and violated both the spirit and the letter of the US Constitution, by allowing executive Amnesty for illegal aliens in America by ordering Immigration and Customs Enforcement not to apprehend or process illegal aliens and by dismissing tens of thousands of deportation hearings.

The current Federal laws say that illegal aliens are to be detected, apprehended, and deported.

The Constitution of the United States says that immigration law will be set by the US Congress and not by executive order. The US Constitution also clearly states in Article 4 that all states will be protected from invasion and domestic violence.

ALIPAC is endorsing candidates in 2010 who have indicated they will take action through their records as incumbents and those who have signed a pledge to restore the Rule of Law in America and "will use the full power of my office, including impeachment if necessary, to insure that the Executive Branch secures America's border immediately and begins to adequately enforce the existing immigration and border laws of the United States, which were enacted by Congress."

The endorsements of Congressmen Poe and Carter raises the number of candidates endorsed by ALIPAC in 2010 to 126 nationally and 17 in Texas!

"Only Congress can peacefully restore the Rule of Law in America now," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "Congress must intervene to restore Constitutional and civilian governance in America and to stop the authoritarian and dictatorial actions of the Obama administration. Obama's actions are costing Americans jobs, wages, security, and thousand of lives each year taken by illegal aliens on American soil. Congress must intervene or they will force American citizens to decide between submission or revolt."

Congressman Ted Poe is a Republican serving in Texas 2nd District, Poe receives a high score of A+ ranked by the national organization NumbersUSA. Congressman John Carter also receives high marks earning a B+ for his voting record on immigration enforcement matters in DC.

ALIPAC is asking the group's 30,000 national supporters and other supportive Americans to help the campaigns endorsed at this link by voting for these candidates as well as contributing to and volunteering for their campaigns found at...
