Bank of New York Mellon Prices $1.2 Billion Of Common Shares

May 12, 2009 (FinancialWire) — The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (NYSE: BK) said it has priced a $1.2 billion offering of 42 million shares of its common stock at $28.75 per share. Goldman, Sachs & Co. (NYSE: GS) and Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) are serving as joint bookrunning managers.

BK had originally planned a $1 billion common share offering.

The underwriters will have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 6.3 million shares of the company’s common stock.
