New Artist Releases Her "Up in Heaven" CD
January 6, 2009 - - New artist, Kelly Manu, is proud to announce the release of her CD “Up in Heaven”. Kelly Manu has a pure voice she lifts up to Jesus. Her songs will appeal to old and young alike who love country gospel. Many of her songs are spirit-soothing, while others are a blend of pop and country. Kelly Manu turned her physical pain into triumph for the Lord. Her pain and tragedy inspired the music in her new CD “Up in Heaven”.
On Friday the 13th 2004, Kelly Manu was in a car accident and from that accident she became very ill. For two months, she went to doctors for her neck injury, but she could feel something more than her neck was wrong. Through her own persistence, she sought out a doctor who would listen to her. She found out she had something more serious wrong with her. She had cervical cancer, and it had spread throughout her body. She never listened to the negative words and prognosis; instead she opted to be positive and underwent radical treatment. Throughout her three year suffering, she became spiritually stronger and was inspired to make music.
“While going through this trial, I wrote the CD ‘Up in Heaven’. I can truly say that I’ve never felt so much happiness, pure joy and completeness in my life,” expressed Kelly Manu, artist. She continued, “I want to share my story and blessings with others. Tragedy is not always a negative. The most profound blessings can be found in our darkest hours.”
About the Artist:
Kelly Manu grew up in the church. She is the daughter of Pastor Morvan Rowsell and Gospel Singer/Songwriter Wavie Rowsell. Although having always been in church, she had never felt as close to Jesus until she underwent treatment for cervical cancer. Now Kelly is on a mission to save souls and spread the word of the power of God. She is using her musical talent to reach as many souls as possible.
