Head of State creates commission to implement policy on book

Luanda, ANGOLA, September 1 - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, has created a multi-sector commission tasked with implementing and supervising the National Policy on Books and Reading.,

According to a press note from the Civil Office of the Head of State, which reached ANGOP last Friday, the commission is to be co-ordinated by the Culture Ministry, Carolina Cerqueira, and is also tasked with implementing the strategy relating to books and reading.   

 

The commission also comprises the Angolan President’s secretaries for Social Matters, Institutional Communication and Press, the director of the Cadres Office, the general director of the National Library, among other personalities.

 

The commission has a five-year mandate and is assisted by a technical group, which comprises representatives of ministerial departments.
