Evident.io Founders to Present on Advanced Cloud Security at AWS Summit Chicago

Evident.io Will Have Cloud Security Experts Available for Consultation

/EINPresswire.com/ -- DUBLIN, CA--(Marketwired - April 18, 2016) - Evident.io, the leading provider of cloud security solutions and compliance automation for public cloud infrastructure as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced Technology Partner, announced today that the company's founders -- CEO Tim Prendergast and CTO Justin Lundy -- will be presenting at the AWS Summit Chicago on Tuesday, April 19, 2016.

AWS Summit Chicago is a two-day free event hosted by Amazon Web Services designed to introduce new and existing AWS customers to the latest best practices and services for AWS platforms. The event includes more than 50 technical sessions, hands-on training, a business expo featuring top AWS partners, and other activities. The summit will convene at Chicago's McCormick Place, Lakeside Center on April 18-19, 2016.

Evident.io CEO Tim Prendergast will deliver a presentation during the breakout session on Tuesday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m. on Developing a Continuous Automated Approach to Cloud Security. The session will cover examine how security needs to be integrated into the overall processes of development and deployment, how to tie security acceptance tests into the functional testing process to promote builds at greater speed, and how API-enabled continuous security tools operationalize security alarms and provide continuous remediation.

"Different organizations often require different approaches to building an automated and continuous security architecture, but there are certain techniques and key principles that tend to be utilized by early adopter cloud elite organizations," said Prendergast. "My presentation at the AWS Summit Chicago breakout session will focus on how AWS customers can adopt certain key principles, revamp their organizations' processes, and create more efficient cloud security operations."

Evident.io CIO & CTO Justin Lundy will also give a presentation on Tuesday, April 19 at 3:45 p.m. on the CIS Foundations Benchmark, which will focus on the recent release of the first ever security benchmark for AWS security by the Center for Internet Security (CIS), what it means for AWS customers and what organizations need to know where you are in order to chart a course for security success in the cloud.

"The release of the CIS Foundations Benchmark for AWS Security is giving organizations an industry-accepted set of security configuration best practices for the first time," said Lundy. "These new benchmarks, in combination with third-party security solutions that support them, can form the foundation for security operations through continuous monitoring and auditing at organizations of all sizes."
