/EINPresswire.com/ -- SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - January 13, 2016) - The Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS® recognizes select individuals within the real estate community who stand out in their field at the annual Awards of Excellence ceremony which takes place in conjunction with the installation of its board of directors and president. 

These awards acknowledge outstanding service to the Association, its members, the community, and the real estate industry as a whole. They reflect the ethics, integrity, and professional standards of the individuals.

A winner is selected in each of four categories: Broker of the Year, Office Manager of the Year, REALTOR® of the Year, and Affiliate of the Year. 

The Broker category is for any broker who manages two or more agents. The Office Manager category is for a REALTOR® who manages a real estate office of any size. The REALTOR® category is for all licensees and the Affiliate category is for non-licensed vendors who serve the real estate industry. This year there were over 100 nominations in total submitted for the awards.

The 2016 winners are:

Broker of the Year: Rick Hagen, Pacific Sotheby's International Realty
Office Manager of the Year: Mike Marmion, Pacific Sotheby's International Realty
REALTOR® of the Year: Megan Beauvais, Ascent Real Estate
Affiliate of the Year: Tracie Schmidt, WJ Bradley Mortgage

In addition, Carla Farley, Broker/Owner at Corban Realty Group was named Volunteer of the Year. This award is chosen by the association staff, who work with over 300 volunteers that serve on 27 association committees. The event also celebrated the installation of Cory Shepard from Coldwell Banker West as the 2016 President. The remaining officers inducted to the board are Jim Taylor of Sperry Van Ness Asset Advisory Group, Vice President, Glen Bennett of Cowles Mountain Realty, Treasurer and Robert Kevane of the Kevane Company, President-Elect.
