An EBV Co-Infection with HPV May Contribute to Cervical Changes that Lead to Cancer; The CBCD Reviews Medical Evidence

“EBV-infected lymphocytes may play a role in cancer progression of cervical lesion containing episomal HR-HPV.” (1)

EBV infection is incriminated in cervical cancer progression.

“Infected with the human papillomavirus (HPV)? We recommend taking Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD

According to a recent study, cervical cells that have been infected by the human papillomavirus (HPV) may be more likely to become cancerous if they are also infected with the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). The public should be aware that the EBV is a very common virus, and most people are infected with it by the time they are adults.

Dr. Aromseree and colleagues wrote that “EBV was detected increasingly from noSIL (no squamous intraepithelial lesions) (13.4%), LSIL ( low-grade intraepithelial lesions) (29.4%) to HSIL (high grade intraepithelial lesions) (49.4%) samples. The prevalence of HPV-EBV co-infection was significantly higher in any grade of lesion than in noSIL samples.” (1) In other words, cells with high grade lesions associated with the development of cervical cancer had high rates of EBV/HPV co-infection. Dr. Aromseree is from the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University in Thailand.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that any woman who may be concerned about an HPV or EBV infection take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. The formula of these natural, andtiviral products was shown to reduce symptoms associated with HPV and EBV infection in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. Additionally, their formula was designed to help the immune system target these latent viruses.

The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the HPV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HPV…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (2) The study authors also wrote that “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)

Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites here:

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

Note: Novirin has the same formula as Gene-Eden-VIR. However, it contains higher quality and more expensive ingredients.

It is important to note that authors of another study suggested that a co-infection with HPV and EBV is worse than an infection with HPV alone. “The high rate of HR-HPV and EBV co-infection in SCC suggests that EBV infection is incriminated in cervical cancer progression. This could be taken into account as bad prognosis in this type of cancer.” (3)

What Treatments are Available for HPV infections?

“There are no drugs approved against the HPV. Current treatments include procedures, such as cryotherapy, conization, and the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP). These procedures use liquid nitrogen, a surgical knife (scalpel), a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, or electrical current to remove the abnormal growths caused by the HPV. These growths include cells that harbor the active virus. The procedures do not target cells with the latent virus. Since they do not remove the latent virus, these procedures only produce a temporary remission.” (2) In contrast, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR were designed to target the latent HPV, and were shown to reduce HPV symptoms in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.

The CBCD therefore recommends that HPV infected individuals take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR against the latent virus.
