/EINPresswire.com/ -- DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - October 15, 2015) - Denver Zoo is now offering two weekends of spook-tacular fun for its annual Boo At The Zoo event, Presented by Your Hometown Toyota Stores. Now young ghosts, goblins and princesses can trick-or-treat at more than 25 booths throughout the Zoo on October 24 and 25, in addition to October 31 and November 1, all from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If that isn't enough Halloween fun, Denver Zoo is also offering a presale for its family-friendly Boo At The Zoo After Dark, held on the evenings of October 30 and 31, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Guests who purchase their tickets for this event online before October 23 will receive a $5 discount, so hurry and get yours before the event sells out!

The 31st annual Boo At The Zoo is free with regular Zoo admission. In addition to child-friendly trick-or-treating, guests will enjoy creepy crawly animal demonstrations and fun activities, such as a magic show, a pumpkin carving demonstration and animal shows. The Zoo will also be revealing new, Halloween-themed LEGO® sculptures to join its traveling exhibit, "Nature Connects, Art with LEGO® Bricks" brought to you by the Goddard Schools. These include a giant, spooky spider and bats in the Zoo's giraffe yard. Additional activities will be provided by Zoo Premier Sponsors Cigna and United Healthcare.

For those who love Boo At The Zoo, but prefer trick-or-treating at night in a more exclusive atmosphere, Boo After Dark is the event for you. Kids and their families are welcome to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes and enjoy treats, up-close animal encounters, a fire show, face painting, a maze at Carousel Meadows and interactive booths for the kids. In the spirit of having a green Halloween, Denver Zoo encourages kids to bring their own reusable bags or buckets to collect treats and instead of purchasing new costumes, visit their local thrift shop to find used clothing for this year's costumes.
