New TIPS task force to discuss asbestos litigation at D.C. hearing

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 4, 2013 — A new American Bar Association task force will address issues relating to asbestos trusts and the litigation system at a hearing June 5-6 at the ABA’s offices in Washington, D.C. The event, hosted by ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section’s Task Force on Asbestos Litigation and the Bankruptcy Trusts, will feature panels of academic experts and attorneys discussing topics such as providing proper compensation for plaintiffs, protecting trusts from fraud and erroneous payments, and preserving trust funds for future claimants.
