Olivia Wilde's Booksmart leads the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society Midseason Award Winners
LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, July 1, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society 2nd Annual Midseason Award Winners
Over the weekend, the members of the Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society voted for their 2nd Annual Midseason Awards. The twelve categories highlighted various films that were released from January 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019 including a category where the members voted on which upcoming release for the 2nd half of 2019 they were most excited to see.
Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart was the biggest winner of the Midseason Awards taking home a total of five awards including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Female Director for Olivia Wilde. Jordan Peele’s Us and Dexter Fletcher’s Rocketman are tied for second place with a total of two wins each. Us won Best Actress for Lupita Nyong'o and Best Male Director for Jordan Peele while Rocketman took home Best Actor for Taron Egerton and Best Supporting Actor for Jamie Bell.
