On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:13 pm, troopers were notified of a semi truck with a dry box trailer stalled in traffic near MP 262 Southbound on I-15. The semi had engine problems but allegedly had his lights and emergency flashers on, blocking lane #5, in an area of the interstate with very little lighting. While responding dispatch was notified that a vehicle had struck the back of the semi. A white Kia Soul struck the back of the semi. Medical arrived and confirmed the 39-year-old male driver and only occupant of the Kia was deceased on scene.
