Kitchen Cabinet Depot Plants a Tree for Every New Kitchen Sold
/EINPresswire.com/ Kitchen cabinet manufacturer takes the green pledge on kitchen cabinets sold every day of the new year. A tree is planted for every new kitchen purchased.
Kitchen Cabinet Depot, a major manufacturer of RTA kitchen cabinets, announces their pledge to be green in 2012 by planting a tree for every new kitchen purchased. It is part of the company's green pledge to replenish the resources they use in manufacturing cabinets and keep the planet green.
Kitchen Cabinet Depot partners with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees in the National Forest. The foundation's Give-A-Tree program ensures that trees in the National Forest are replenished in the face of unprecedented wildfires. The program protects the health of the forests and provides ample habitat for wild creatures great and small including grizzly bears, wolves, bald eagles and thousands of other species. The foundation has planted more than 25 million trees.
"We are proud to be a part of this important program that replenishes our nation's forests," says Kitchen Cabinet Depot CEO Bob Peters. "We believe that we can manufacturer kitchen cabinets while minimizing our impact on the environment and making the planet a greener place."
Customers who purchase kitchen cabinets and qualify for the Give-A-Tree program will receive a gift card from the Arbor Day Foundation confirming that a tree is being planted in their honor. The card is printed on recycled materials to further enhance the reduce, reuse, recycle message. It also includes a link to the foundation's website to further educate customers about the program and its environmental impact.
"Planting trees has always been important, but it is critical in the face of today's devastating wildfires," says Peters. "Manufacturing kitchen cabinets takes trees; there's no way around that. But by planting a tree for every new kitchen we sell, we can minimize our impact on the environment."
People who wish to participate in the Give-A-Tree program in conjunction with their purchase of RTA kitchen cabinets should speak to a Kitchen Cabinet Depot representative to learn more about the program and find out if their purchase qualifies.
