Podcast: Is Business Taking You to Europe During the Olympics? Here’s What You Need to Know

July 1, 2024

If business is taking you to Europe this summer, operators should be aware of challenges that may arise due to the Summer Olympics taking place in Paris from July 26 to Aug. 11. With as many as 15 million people expected to travel to France over the next two months, the effects on business aviation travel in the region will extend far beyond the City of Lights. “Most airports in France, especially those that are going to be supporting business aviation operators, are expected to have increased levels of security,” notes Matt Borie with Osprey Flight Solutions. “We can expect to see this going forward throughout the Olympics, whether your aircraft is in France or at other airports in the region.”

In this episode of NBAA’s “Flight Plan,” host Rob Finfrock speaks with:

* Matthew Borie, co-founder and chief intelligence officer for Osprey Flight Solutions

* Petra Dlabolova, operations control center manager at Euro Jet International

* Kevin Honan, senior operations and emergency response plans advisor with AviationManuals
