Peru Moda & Deco gives local designers a better understanding of international audiences and their preferences and allows international attendees to see what the nation has to offer. Visitors from all over the world, including prestigious brands and buyers from Argentina and the United States, were attracted to the alpaca garments and unique designs presented at the event. This underscores the nation’s growing relevance to the global fashion scene and its ability to interest leading international players.

Introducing vibrant Peruvian collections

Guiulfo’s brand, Ana G, caught local and international attention for the three sophisticated capsule collections shared at the event: “Peruvian Energy,” made with baby alpaca wool; “Wari,” made with 100% pima cotton; and “Echoes de la Mer,” inspired by the beaches Guiulfo visited.

Peruvian fashion reflects the rich cultural heritage and diversity of its communities, and both the Commission for the Promotion of Perú for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) and Peruvian brands feel they play a vital role in the industry’s success. “Much more than links in the sector's production chain, we consider these communities true co-creators of Peruvian fashion, since they are a great source of inspiration,” stated PROMPERÚ President Angelica Matsuda. “Their creativity and traditions, deeply rooted in Peruvian culture, are a valuable asset that drives the innovation and authenticity of Peruvian fashion.”

The country’s unique approach to fashion design drew attendees from the United States, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom to see over 200 Peruvian exhibitors from across the country, with this year’s event expected to generate US$80 million in business.
