From 6 to 10 March education practitioners from 37 countries will host 455 OEWeek events to raise awareness about the effectiveness of their open solutions.

CONCORD, MASSACHUSETTS, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, March 8, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ -- Open Education Week (OE Week) is a global awareness campaign and a call to action for educators to make visible the effective benefits of applying open practices as successful solutions to education challenges. It also shares a free-to-access library of 708 educational resources created for educators and students alike to actively benefit from materials developed under open licenses.

Organized by Open Education Global (OEGlobal), the 2023 edition takes place from the 6th to the 10th of March 2023, around the world. There are over 450 registered events and 166 student-focused open resources in 19 languages. The events and resources have been submitted by more than 209 globally dispersed individuals, projects, and organizations that are actively focused on open education work.

The events and activities create visibility for the solutions offered by open education and stimulate dialogue, reflection, and assessment of how many global and local education solutions have successfully been overcome through an open approach. These successes are in such wide-ranging applications as pedagogy, textbook costs, multilingual books, research, access to knowledge, courses, and resources, etc.

All interested stakeholders are called to join in Open Education Week 2023 events, explore the education resources that have been shared, and actively participate in open education in general – from associations, teachers, educators, academics, governments, NGOs, and all citizens.

How do you get involved? Attend or share a local event with your network. Use, adapt, or remix one of the 166 open resources added to the library. Open Education activities happen throughout March - there is still time to organize a new event: from a film screening to concerts, photography exhibitions, quizzes, school debates, street-awareness actions, and more!
