The Supreme Court of North Carolina has approved the amendments to Rule 5 and Rule 5.1 of the General Rules of Practice for Superior and District Courts. The effective date for the amendments is February 13, 2023.

The General Rules of Practice are promulgated by the Supreme Court under Section 7A-34 of the General Statutes of North Carolina.
