Chicago, IL—Yet another injury lawsuit is looming over the “Transformer’s 3” movie production, after a welder claims he was seriously injured when a grinding wheel he tried to use suddenly spun out of control, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.

The lawsuit was filed on Thursday, November 4, 2010, in he Cook County Circuit Court.

The welder, William Kenny, claims he suffered “severe and permanent damage to his arm” during the July 25 accident. Kenny claims the grinder wheel went out of control when he turned it on.

The lawsuit alleges that a temporary control panel inside the building he was working at, located at 2558 W. 16th St., was “negligently wired” to supply 220 volts of power. Kenny asserts that he was not warned before he plugged in the 110-volt grinder.

The lawsuit named Paramount Pictures and other companies as defendants.

The suit is seeking specified damages.

On Sept. 1, a “Transformers 3” extra suffered serious head injuries during a stunt while filming the movie. Gabriela V. Cedillo, 24, of Chicago, was hit in the head by a cable that snapped from a stunt car and crashed into her windshield.
