Mathews Named Investment Chief Of UMB Bank
February 17, 2010 (FinancialWire) — UMB Bank, n.a., the lead banking subsidiary of UMB Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: UMBF) has promoted K.C. Mathews to executive vice president and chief investment officer. Mathews has spent the past eight years at UMB serving as senior vice president and managing director of portfolio management.
As UMB Bank CIO, Mathews is responsible for executing UMB Bank’s investment strategy and overseeing the day-to-day management of the bank’s investment activities. He reports to Clyde Wendel, president and chief executive officer of UMB Personal Financial Services.
Mathews will work collaboratively with the UMB executive committee and Bill Greiner, president and CIO of Scout Investment Advisors, a subsidiary of UMB Financial.
He takes over the bank’s CIO responsibilities from Greiner, who will continue to focus on the further development of products and strategic performance of Scout Investment Advisors.
