Secretary Denney Announces Absentee and Early Voting Numbers

Boise, Idaho – Just one day ahead of the 2018 General Election, Idaho Secretary of State Lawerence Denney announced an estimated 153,781 ballots have already been received statewide via absentee and early voting ahead of Election Day.

As of this morning, 168,606 absentee ballots have been issued, and approximately 14,825 absentee ballots are still outstanding.

Voters who have not yet mailed their absentee ballots may still hand-deliver them in-person to their county clerk. In order to be counted, all absentee ballots must be received at the county clerk’s office no later than Tuesday, November 6 at 8 p.m. Voters can track their absentee ballot online at IdahoVotes.gov.

  • 846,433 Idahoans are registered to vote (as of Nov. 1)
  • 168,606 voters requested an absentee ballot (as of Nov. 5)
  • 153,781 absentee ballots have been cast (as of 8 a.m.)
