Imad Jack Karam: Award for Johnny & June

DUBAI, UAE, May 18, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Dubai-based Lebanese rock singer, Imad Jack Karam (IJK), is pleased to announce he has won a prestigious award at the 14th Anim’Arte Film Festival in Brazil.

In the festival, IJK placed 2nd in the Best Film Asia category for his animated music video, Johnny & June. Johnny & June is a catchy tune that uses 2D animation with an engaging script and striking characters to tell the exciting story of two young lovers in the 50’s.

In the video, viewers follow the journey of these two lovers, Johnny & June, as they face imminent danger. The story is a tale of adventure and love, with exciting music and a catchy beat in the 3-minute, action-packed video.

“My idea for Johnny & June came from one of my inspirations, the great Johnny Cash,” says IJK. “The script for the video is loosely based on Cash’s own story and it was an incredible journey putting this project together.”

According to the festival’s organizers, Johnny & June was screened for large audiences in the Brazilian cities of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Luis, and Sao Paulo. As a result of this screening and subsequent voting process, Johnny & June was awarded 2nd place in the Best Film Asia category.

Music, lyrics, and script for Johnny & June were written and performed by Imad Jack Karam. The video was recorded at Turtle Studio London, UK, and was produced by Pete Turtle. Backgrounds, drawing and animation for Johnny & June were designed and executed by Matias Alejandro Cabrera.
