Angola and Cuba work to re-launch cooperation
The Cuban official, who is in Luanda to among other things co-lead the 14th session of Angola-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission, said the possibility of implementing a short and long-term joint programme is currently being assessed.
The perspective, added the Cuban official, is that in the first stage the cooperation programmes can be adjusted to the Angolan and Cuban 2019-2021 development plans.
In the meantime, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, who was coy on the amount Angola owes to Cuba, underlined that this is not a worrying aspect, since his country is aware of the weak economic moment the country is going through.
The Cuban official ends this Wednesday his visit to Angola.
Angola and Cuba have historical politico-diplomatic relations in various domains, with highlight on the sectors of defence, security, health, education, crude-oil and industry.
Despite the slowdown recorded in 1991 and 2002, diplomatic relations between the two countries maintain the same vitality, hence being considered magnificent and of brotherhood.
