Hyundai to assemble vehicles in Angola
This was announced by the company’s manager, Seong Kwon Han, when speaking to journalists at the end of an audience the President João Lourenço granted to him Friday in Launda.
Han said he discussed with President the matters related to the strategy and the pricing policy.
The audience also approached the quality of the spare parts that will support the assembling process.
Seong Kwon also announced plan to expand the project to the other markets of neighbouring countries.
Hyundai Motors' plan to open a car assembly plant in a Portuguese-speaking African country is not unique.
In 2014 the South Korea automotive manufacturer unveiled a USD 5.45 million assembly plant in Mozambique.
