Gazprom and Serbia developing effective cooperation in gas industry

Background

Gazprom’s main partner in Serbia is Srbijagas, a state-owned company focused on gas transportation, storage and distribution in Serbia.

In 2017, Gazprom supplied Serbia with 2.1 billion cubic meters of gas, a 21.2 per cent rise from 2016 (1.75 billion cubic meters).

On December 19, 2017, the Addendum was signed to the long-term contract between Gazprom Export, Yugorosgaz and Srbijagas for natural gas deliveries to Serbia. In accordance with the document, the annual amount of supplies was increased from 1.5 billion cubic meters to 2 billion cubic meters starting from 2018.

On June 27, 2017, Gazprom and the Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy signed the roadmap providing for a number of measures to implement a plan aimed at expanding the Serbian gas transmission system.

On June 3, 2017, Gazprom and Srbijagas inked the Memorandum of Understanding for the expansion of the Banatski Dvor UGS facility.
