Registrar arrested for granting nationality to foreigners
Lubango, ANGOLA, August 21 - The registrar of Civil Registry Office of Huíla, Emília Albertina Cacuhu, was arrested last Friday by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), charged with crimes of falsification of documents, attribution of nationality to foreigners and mockery of 3,500,000 kwanzas.,
This fact was confirmed on Tuesday by the acting spokesman of the National Police Provincial Command, Luís Filipe Zilungo, revealing that the registrar, 66-year-old pocketed some six million Kwanzas in falsifying documents and assigning nationality to foreigners and mortgaged a State car, due to a contracted debt in the amount of 3,500,000 kwanzas.
