Stat Emergency Center is a facility licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services to provide 24-hour emergency services to patients at the same level as a hospital-based emergency room. Unlike urgent-care clinics, freestanding emergency centers must be open 24/7 and have an Emergency Medicine Physician onsite at all times.
