Acclaris Executive to Speak at the 2016 IHC Forum & Expo
Vice President Carlos Hernandez Will Participate in Two Sessions Addressing the Employee Benefits Evolution
/EINPresswire.com/ -- TAMPA, FL--(Marketwired - May 23, 2016) - Carlos Hernandez, vice president of strategic alliances for Acclaris, will share his perspective on the next generation of health savings accounts (HSAs) and how financial wellness programs fit into the ongoing benefits evolution during the Institute for HealthCare Consumerism's 2016 IHC Forum & Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. From May 24 through May 26, additional members of the Acclaris team will be on hand at booth #120 to discuss the company's latest innovations and best practices for addressing the rapid changes in the health care market.
On Tuesday, May 24th at 4:30 p.m., Hernandez will join fellow panelists and moderator Roy Ramthun, president and founder of HSA Consulting Services, to discuss the future of HSAs. Entitled, "What to Expect from the Next Generation of HSAs," session 104 will help employers, brokers and health plan executives address the latest trends in the dynamic health savings account market and forecast the best places to invest. The workshop will also highlight areas of emerging innovation to create a better consumer HSA experience including education, future investment ideas, risks and opportunities, as well as connections to other health services. Given the interest in this topic, the session has been extended to accommodate discussion and audience questions.
In addition, on Wednesday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m., Hernandez will participate in session 201 entitled, "Financial Wellness - A New Class of Benefits and Why It Matters." Moderated by Denise Winston, founder of Money Starts Here and creator of My Benefits Academy, the workshop will address the growing effect of financially stressed employees on their employers. Hernandez will share his expertise on why financial wellness programs are essential and how organizations can implement and enhance such programs. As a featured panelist, Steven A. Nyce, director of research and innovation for Willis Towers Watson, will also add his perspective.
"There is an undeniable connection between employees' physical and financial health and workforce productivity. Understanding that a highly engaged workforce is an organization's greatest asset, employers are now broadening the scope of their existing benefits programs to include financial well-being. Part of that effort includes placing a greater emphasis on available account-based health plans such as HSAs," said Hernandez. "I'm excited to share what we have learned over the past 12 months and offer the IHC audience ideas and solutions to effectively navigate this new class of benefits."
