They call these years the golden years. I call it the golden opportunity.
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, USA, February 15, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The concert is over, but your audience is demanding more. They want an encore. Now is the opportunity to sing the song that truly resonates with you and give them everything you’ve got with all your heart. — Carolyne Simi
Carolyne Simi is the CEO and Founder of Create Your Encore where she helps people figure out their next step as they approach their retirement. Carolyne specializes in helping people find their passion and create a life they really want to live in their second half of their life.
“They call these years the golden years. I call it the golden opportunity,” says Carolyne. “You’ve been serving others your entire life. Now is the time to do something you really want that makes your heart sing.”
We spend so many years working. So many things demand our attention and our intention, but when we reach retirement, big chunks of that puzzle fall away and leave you feeling disconnected. We have a tendency to lose track of our identity and life begins to look like a big blank, empty canvas. Carolyne says the beautiful part about retirement is that it affords us the opportunity to deliberately reinvent ourselves and create the life we really want.
“It’s a journey of self-evaluation,” says Carolyne. “The trick is to look inward. What makes you happy? What gets you excited? What are you good at? What do you truly love to do? Once you’ve created that inventory, you can look at ways to apply those skills, passions, talents, gifts to something that fulfills you.”
Carolyne says she’s found people who reach this stage of life experience an overwhelming desire to give back.
“We’ve learned so much in our lives,” says Carolyne. “Our experience, training, education and life lessons are deep and rich. We’ve had years to develop the things we’re good at, which is a great place to start when you think about giving back.”
“You don’t have to do this alone. That’s the beauty of it,” says Carolyne. “We can dream of the future but it’s awfully hard to create the momentum you need on your own. It’s so much easier to do with someone who is coaching you, by your side, supporting you and asking the right questions.”
CUTV News Radio will feature Carolyne Simi in an interview with Doug Llewelyn on February 17th and February 26th at 2pm EST.
