Energous Corporation Grants Inducement Restricted Stock Units to New Employees
/EINPresswire.com/ -- SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - December 18, 2015) - Energous Corporation ("Energous®" or "the Company") (NASDAQ: WATT), the developer of WattUp™, a revolutionary wire-free charging technology for mobile and IoT devices that provides "over-the-air" power at a distance of up to 15 feet, today announced it has issued inducement restricted stock units to eight new non-executive employees.
On December 17, 2015, nine new non-executive employees were issued restricted stock unit awards covering a total of 407,020 shares of common stock. 300,098 of these restricted stock unit awards vest in four equal annual installments beginning on the first anniversary of the date of hire of each of the new employees. The balance will vest based upon the satisfaction of certain performance-based vesting conditions. The awards were approved by the independent compensation committee of the Company's board of directors and were granted as an inducement material to the new employees entering into employment with the Company in accordance with Nasdaq Marketplace Rule 5635(c)(4). The Company is making this announcement as required by Nasdaq rules.
