FSA-EFSA workshop on food incident prevention and horizon scanning to identify emerging risks March 5 and 6 in London
A workshop organized by the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) in cooperation with EFSA on methodologies to pinpoint emerging risks will take place on March 5 and 6 in London. The objective of the workshop is to identify topics for future research and cooperation. Experts from European and international organizations working in different areas of food safety, as well as representatives of the food supply chain will attend the workshop. Issues covered will include: analysis of the underlying causes of food safety incidents, approaches to incident prevention, first steps in developing a European system for the identification of potential emerging food and feed risks and mechanisms for horizon scanning.
