Hawaii First State to Adopt 100% Renewable Energy Goal

Hawaii's governor signed a law requiring 100% of Hawaii's electricity to be generated by renewable sources by 2045, increasing the state's former renewable energy goal of 40% clean energy by 2040. Hawaii currently produces approximately 21% of its power from renewable energy.
