Akhenaton, A Movie to Remember
When Akhenaton came into power, the priests of Egypt had great power. Akhenaton declared that there was one God, and that Aton, the sun, was the source of all life. He built temples to Aton. He then closed down rival temples, funneling the taxes collected for them into the temples for Aton.
This creates a marvelous backdrop for drama. Many of the details of this Egyptian king’s life are lost in the depths of time. There is some question about whether or not his reign started the decline of the Egyptian empire. Some wonder whether Nefertiti supported him, or whether his beautiful wife was possibly one more source of conflict.
Jesus McGill would like to make a movie about this mysterious historical figure. Jesus wrote the screenplay while he was still in graduate school. The play is entitled Akhenaton: the Mysterious Revelation. In the play, it is revealed that Akhenaton (which means of Aton, the sun god) declared a monotheistic religion. He battled against corruption in the Egyptian government.
McGill, who is the CEO and founder of Infinite Wealth Creations, has selected Fundrazr as his crowdfunding campaign platform. The sole perk McGill offers is an unusual one: he will pay a finder’s fee if you locate someone else who is willing to donate. For example, if you were to locate someone willing to pay $10,000, you would receive a check for $500. As you can see from this example, the finder’s fee is 5 percent of the total donation by the person making the investment.
This investment is not only in the production of Akhenaton: the Mysterious Revelation, it is also in Jesus McGill’s business, Infinite Wealth Creations. He has written several other plays, which can be made into movies. McGill has earned a Master of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from California State University, with an emphasis on screen play writing. Upon graduation, he received the prestigious College Students in Broadcasting Outstanding Graduate Award.
McGill has chosen Fundrazr as his crowdfunding platform for its several unique attributes. First, it can be used by anyone to raise money for anything. Certain other platforms place restrictions on the type of campaign that can be run from them. Second, Fundrazr allows a campaign to run for an infinite length of time. Again, other platforms usually place a time limit on fundraising efforts. However, he has chosen to run the campaign for 43 days. Third, he has selected the Personal Campaign, Keep it all, funding option. This means that he will retain any and all contributions, regardless of whether or not he can reach his $10,000 goal. This means that contributors will be supporting this writer/actor’s talent and future as he begins the arduous process of breaking into a highly competitive business.
One might think that naming a business Infinite Wealth Creations is synonymous with “more money for me.” While one can be sure that earning money is part of Jesus McGill’s goal, a quick look at the theme of Akhenaton will dispel that impression. McGill is an idealist. He emphasizes that the young pharaoh was the one and only Egyptian ruler of that time to attempt to get his people to worship “the one living god.” His play focuses in on Akhenaton’s efforts to battle corruption in his government. He also pays attention to the young pharaoh’s personal life, as he deals with his incredibly beautiful wife’s popularity and political influence.
On top of all of this, archeologists believe that the “heretic king,” as he is sometimes called, suffered from a disease that caused him to be very thin, with a pot belly and fragile bones. He and Nefertiti had no sons, but did have six daughters. McGill has chosen a pivotal historical figure about which to create a screenplay. His “Infinite Wealth” is his own talent, his infinite spiritual treasures, and the value of the message he seeks to send with this unique screenplay/movie.
