BUSTED BRACKET - YOU'RE NOT ALONE IF YOU DIDNT PLAY BRACK ATTACK
More than Half of All Participants in New Hoops Contest Still in the Running
“If you’re a college hoops fan, you gotta check out this sick bracket contest! Definitely a new take on brackets!”
- Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets
“Hot new contest for brackets this March! #BrackAttack that's what's up!”
- Tim Hardaway, Jr., New York Knicks
NEW YORK, NY - (NewMediaWire) - March 27, 2015 - Despite several early round upsets, more than half of the players of Class Act Sports’ Brack Attack™, are still in the game.
Brack Attack™ is a first-of-its-kind bracket contest that is free to enter and takes the madness out of brackets in March. With a grand prize of $2,500, it is the first college basketball tournament contest where players have a chance to win the grand prize and stay in contention for the duration of the tournament even if one of the teams they select gets knocked out.
“We’re really excited with the current results as it validates the efficacy of Brack Attack™ which successfully eliminates the frustration of traditional bracket contests,” said Jared Ginsberg, creator of Brack Attack™ and Founder of Class Act Sports (CAS). “To put this in perspective, only 14 ESPN brackets out of 11.57 million correctly predicted the final 16 teams, whereas more than 50% of Brack Attack™ contestants are still in contention.”
“Every year, basketball fans are talking about and searching for that perfect bracket. Brack Attack™ is in a league of its own as we have added a new twist to the bracket experience. It’s a dream come true for every college hoops fan,” he concluded.
Major benefits and unique aspects to Brack Attack™
Brack Attack™ contestants are able to compete in this contest in addition to the traditional bracket contests, not instead of. Also unlike other tournaments, the majority of contestants not only remain in contention until the very end, but those who have been trailing throughout have the opportunity to make a comeback at the last minute, based on their original seed picks and take the lead.
Because each contestant is responsible for picking one team of each seed, if one of the underdogs in your bracket makes a run you will capitalize on their run in the tournament. What separates Brack Attack™ apart from the rest is all contestants are required to pick one team from all 16 seeds. In a traditional bracket, there are not many people that would have gone out on a limb to select an underdog to win it all.
Fan Participation Meets and Exceeds Expectations
While still basically in beta, CAS said this year’s participation in this current edition of Brack Attack™ is up 1000% Percent.
“What’s particularly gratifying is we have promoted Brack Attack™ primarily through social media with opening weekend statistics meeting and exceeding expectations,” added Ginsberg. “Social media has been buzzing with excitement about Brack Attack™, including several notable NBA players fresh off of impressive college careers who have joined in the fun, posting about Brack Attack™ on their Instagram pages, including Tim Hardaway, Jr (New York Knicks), Ty Lawson (Denver Nuggets), Peyton Siva (Orlando Magic), Cleanthony Early (NY Knicks), Langston Galloway (NY Knicks) and more.”
The Birth of Brack Attack™
After years of experiencing losses in his brackets to major upsets, which is something most basketball fans can relate to (like when the Dayton Flyers beat Syracuse) innovative sports enthusiast and entrepreneur Jared Ginsberg made it his mission to create a game that would bring the fun back to bracket contests and take away a good portion of the headache and heartache. With the help of sports and technology experts, Ginsberg developed Brack Attack™, which utilizes a first-of-its-kind mechanics that keeps players in contention until the very end of the tournament.
When designing Brack Attack™, Ginsberg wanted to make sure it was easy to enter and user friendly, so anyone from the most to the least experienced players can participate. Contestants pick one team from each seed, for a total of 16 teams. There are designated point totals for each seed. Players earn points as their teams advance through the tournament, with points doubling each round. The player who accumulates the most points throughout the tournament has a chance to win the grand prize of $2,500.
