Gazpromneft Aero international presence reaches 150 airports

Gazprom Neft aviation fuels subsidiary Gazpromneft-Aero has begun refuelling services for regular Aeroflot flights from Ben Gurion airport, Tel Aviv becoming the 150th non-domestic airport in the company’s refuelling network. Gazpromneft-Aero extended the geographic range of its operations by 20 percent in 2014, commencing refuelling operations in 25 new airports.

The supply of aviation kerosene will be carried out under a new long-term agreement for the refuelling of regular Aeroflot flights throughout 10 international airports. Gazpromneft-Aero is expected to commence refuelling operations for flights to Aeroflot’s most popular tourist destinations in Spain, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam and Israel.

Refuelling of aircraft at international airports is typically undertaken through agreements with major aviation fuel suppliers on the local markets. Thanks to partnership agreements with national oil companies, Gazpromneft-Aero is able to offer carriers high-quality fuels and services in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Gazpromneft-Aero CEO Vladimir Yegorov commented: “The development of refuelling activities abroad is a major priority for Gazpromneft-Aero. We have seen significant success in this area recently, strengthening our long-term partnerships with major Russian air carriers and working with market-leading aviation refuelling companies in other countries. Consistent with Gazpromneft-Aero strategy to 2025 the company plans to extend its international sales and distribution network to 200 airports.”

Gazpromneft-Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been conducting business in aircraft refuelling and the “wing-tip” supply of aviation fuels since 1st January 2008. Gazpromneft Aero has been an aviation-fuel strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since December 2008. Gazpromneft Aero holds a leading position in the Russian market in terms of total sales volumes of aviation fuels. The company’s use of technology ensures its full compliance with the highest standards in refuelling operations, i.e. “Green”.
