January 2015 - Star Energy Partners, a retail energy provider based in Akron, Ohio, has begun offering new green energy plans to its Ohio electricity customers. The new plans allow customers to purchase renewable energy certificates (RECs) from either a local or national plan. The local plan will offer RECs sourced from local facilities in Ohio and the surrounding states, while the national plan will allow customers to support renewable energy produced across the nation.
