If you want to understand the unconscious persistence of racism in American culture, understand the drug propaganda. The same racist killers who wrote ‘separate but equal’ into law wrote all of the standing legal precedents of today’s Prohibition laws, and, like ‘separate but equal’, they are a tissue of overt empirical lies. This video traces the important function anti-Black racism played in the development of our seminal drug laws, engineered by medical, commercial and geopolitical monopolists.
Defining the traditional herbs of the human race the same in law as their refined concentrates is literally as insane as defining kitchen matches the same in law as grenades. The inevitable result of this sophistry has been the institutionalization of the trade in hard drugs, and the cooptation of that trade by military intelligence services worldwide. Prohibition artificially inflates the value of drug crops, making them the basis of military power everywhere they can be grown and delivered in quantity.
The centers of power dealing the hard drugs are the same centers of power promulgating the artificial hysteria necessary for their continued criminalization. That keeps the price a hundred times higher than the natural value and the trade exclusively in the hands of ‘the muscle.’ Another name for ‘the muscle’ is military intelligence.
The artificial value given drug crops by our Prohibition laws financed the ghastly Vietnam War, in betrayal of our own loyal World War II ally, the Vietminh. The Vietnam War was bitterly and publicly opposed by virtually the entire World War II and Korea era American military leadership. This video also traces in detail the Reagan administration’s use of the artificial value of cocaine to finance its illegal Contra War. The Vietnam and Nicaraguan examples are not the exceptions, they are the rule, as any Mexican can tell you.
